The Class of 1978 Here is our list of classmates, but the list may be incomplete. It comes from the yearbook and the graduation list. If you have names that are not on here that should be, please contact Linda lindacshaw@earthlink.net so she can add them. The event is definitely open to upper and lower classmates and any classmate that attended St. Andrew's that would like to come, to those who moved, or those who did not make it to graduation. If you were in class with us

In Memory of… Msgt Raymond J. Harder 1960- 2007 Teachers
About a month ago I received a call from a high school classmate who was calling to tell me about our thirty year reunion planned for this summer – the class of 1978, One of the things that has hit home is the list of classmates who have died over the last thirty years. Some I knew better than others, but all shared in the identity of the class of ’78. Still others from our class we have not been able to find. What ever happened to them? As I have shared in the lives of people in the church, those in their 70’s and 80’s often share the loss of friends and family. One of the most painful things in life is seeing those dear to us pass away. We are reminded through our losses that God has promised eternal life for those who have gone on before us, and for us as well. God has promised to be with us through all our joys and pains of this life. God has given us friends and family as a blessing. We are thankful for those God gave in our lives, but we are also saddened when they are gone. Ecclesiastes says: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die…a time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance…” (3:1-2, 4). We will do all those things from Ecclesiastes and yet seldom, in the moment, do we realize how treasured our time is with those we love and share friendship. Let us remember to thank God for our relationships with one another, but most importantly to thank God for our relationship with Jesus Christ. Let us nurture that relationship as it will enhance all our relationships. Peace. |
Lost and Found Blog.. July 3, 2008 Demett.. Thank you so much for your email. I am very happy for your email, and glad to know that you visited the site. I am glad to know the word is getting around, because sometimes that is the only way to be heard. By Word of Mouth.
In response to your questions. 1. How did we make contact with former classmates?
Well I depended on the snowball effect for which you just very much proved the power of. I contacted as many of the classmates as I could possibly find on the internet, and then hoped that the snowball effect would help me contact even more. The more I heard, the more I invited. EVERYONE WE CAN FIND is invited. The difficulty is in finding everyone.
In searching.. common names became very difficult. Classmates with names like Williams, Jones, Smith, etc...well lets just say that there are 100's with the same name and the same birth year. Unless I had a friend or relative step forward and offer more information I could not easily distinguish them from the other 100 of people that shared their common name.
Please give a big hug to your relative or friend who shared the reunion information with you. If a name was left off, it was not on purpose. I tried to find every name on the list.
Again. A big hug to you for your "rock" spirit and help.
Thank you so much
